Ethical Heroes
Sunday, 8th July 2007
New Consumer magazine have just released a list of 100 top ethical heroes. I'm really pleased Catherine Hamnett is no1. I saw her speak at an ethical fashion event a couple of years ago and i think she is amazing. And I think the work she has been doing by working with Tesco on her Choose Love range to change the way that they source fabrics and manufacturing is absolutely brilliant. There is a great article written by Hamnett in the Ecologist magazine on all of this here
Other people named in the top 100 include bonnie Prince Charles, bunny Keeley Hazel and big boss Stuart Rose. And there are plenty of green brand entrpreneurs on there including Ella from Able & Cole, Safia from People Tree, Tim from Yeo valley and not forgetting grand dame Anita Roddick.
