Ade Thomas

Ade's first job as a producer was for Reuters's World Alert. He traveled extensively filming international news stories on behalf on NGOs. His work for the World Wildlife Fund for Nature won the coveted PR Week 'Best Broadcast' award.

His previous experience includes time as a Producer/Director of documentaries for the BBC and on the BBC's rural affairs magazine programme 'Countryfile'. His first job in broadcast was on the Radio 4 environment series 'Costing the Earth'.

Ade began his career as a researcher for Jeremy Paxman on his book 'The English'. This marks Ade's greatest success: having been successfully interviewed by Paxo.   

He has a first degree from Cambridge University and a masters degree in Media Studies from Sussex University.   He likes football, butterflies, chocolate, bicycles and wine, but not necessarily in that order.

Ade founded green.tv, the online TV channel for environmental films, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in March 2006.  Since then, green.tv has become one of the leading green media in the UK with a growing international presence.
