Adeela Warley
Head of Communications, Friends of the Earth
Adeela Warley is responsible for leading and implementing the organisational communications and marketing strategy, bringing specialist skills in PR planning, market research and brand management to a wide range of communications projects. Adeela joined Friends of the Earth in 1989 and has worked on Friends of the Earth’s most high profile campaigns including: Mahogany is Murder, Real Food, Safer Chemicals and most recently the Big Ask Climate Change Awareness campaign which won the Public Affairs, CIPR Excellence Award in 2007. This year the campaign should achieve one of the biggest victories yet as the Climate Change Bill becomes the UK’s first Law to tackle dangerous climate change.
Appointed Head of Communications in 2001, Adeela leads a team of Friends of the Earth communicators responsible for Media and Public Relations, Publishing and New media, Creative Communications and Brand management.
