Amanda Phillips
CEO, Proximity London
Amanda started her career client side in financial services. She was quickly headhunted by her then agency, Rapp Collins, to move agency side and has spent the balance of her career to date in agency roles.
She joined Proximity in 2004 and took over the leadership of the agency in 2005 and is now Chief Executive. Amanda has recently graduated with honors in Psychology from the Open University; a degree she studied for whilst working. She has now embarked on her Masters Degree in Research Psychology.
As well as thoroughly enjoying her role leading one of the best integrated creative agencies in London, she also adores being mum to Ruben and wife to Richard.
Amanda is also actively involved with the IPA, sitting on its Council as well as chairing the IPA Direct Marketing Futures Group and the Working Party on Sustainability.
In 2007, Amanda was recognised as a Women of The Year 2008 and just recently she was recognised by the IDM for her contribution to the industry by being awarded an Honorary Life Fellowship.
