David spent 20 years in journalism and new media before joining Forum for the Future, in a career spanning reporting, editing, strategy, new product development and business development. He was a reporter and news editor with the Press Association, went to Brussels as European Correspondent for The Express and was launch editor of Reuters' online news services in the UK. He was responsible for developing news and weather channel strategy on Vizzavi's European online and mobile portals, he consulted for the BBC on a commercial digital news strategy, and joined BBC Worldwide to manage its commercial news operations, where he commissioned the BBC's first broadband video news service for international audiences.
