Robert Keitch

Director of Environmental Affairs and Media Development, Direct Marketing Association

In his short time as director of environmental affairs at the Direct Marketing Association, Robert Keitch has already taken significant steps to address the environmental challenge faced by the industry. He has engaged with Government, NGOs and other environmental experts to deliver an authoritative environmental strategy for the industry, including pioneering the first environmental standard for the direct marketing industry in conjunction with BSi; the creation of environmental tools for members such as ‘GreenMatters’; as well as providing member training programmes.

Robert combines his environmental remit with the promotion of media channel issues and opportunities, working closely with the DMA councils.  This, combined with previous extensive experience in both agency and client side marketing roles, provides the perfect platform to deliver tangible environmental solutions for the industry.

Robert is also a member (through post-graduate examination) of the Institute of Environmental & Management Assessment (IEMA) and a qualified IEMA advanced level auditor and BSi environmental auditor. He is a regular speaker at marketing and environmental conferences and events and, in his role as one of the key media spokespeople for the DMA, has spoken on a series of national television and radio programmes as well as regularly contributing to trade, regional and national press articles.
