Sarah Jenkinson

Communications Manager, Stop Climate Chaos Coalition

“2009 is one of the most important years in human history. In Copenhagen in December, world's leaders will decide if we head towards a future of a safe climate for ourselves, and future generations, or we head for a hot, glowering planet with greater poverty and conflict than we have ever seen. They must make the right choice.”

Sarah Jenkinson is Communications Manager with the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition www.stopclimatechaos.org. With a combined supporter base of more than 11 million people spanning over 100 organisations, this diverse coalition includes environmental and development charities, as well as trade unions, faith and women’s groups. Recent victories include the UK’s groundbreaking climate legislation which commits the UK to cutting its carbon emissions by 80% by 2050. This year the coalition is keeping the heat on the UK Government to quit dirty coal and deliver a fair international climate deal with a huge climate march in December in London.
