The Museum of Brands
The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising is pleased to be one of the host venues for the 2009 Green Awards. A relevant new exhibition, Packaging a Sustainable Future, has just opened (sponsored by Tesco). The exhibition explains the importance of packaging, how it has developed over the years, the serious challenges it now presents and how manufacturers, retailers and designers are working together to adopt a more environmentally friendly approach. The Museum’s permanent collection features over 12,000 branded goods and promotional items, documenting our consumer society over the past 200 years. Over 70 leading names are showcased as brand heritage timelines. The Museum of Brands also offers a light and spacious conference room available for meetings, seminars, workshops and lunches, while the Museum itself can be hired in the evening for parties, launches and drinks receptions.
Packaging a Sustainable Future will be at the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, 2 Colville Mews, Lonsdale Road, London, W11 2AR from 31st March to the 29th November 2009.
